About KDSB

The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) provides help and support when you need it. KDSB delivers essential social services. These services assist in helping everyone reach their full potential. KDSB’s services support individuals, families and communities in the Kenora District.

The KDSB formed 1999 under the District Social Services Administration Boards Act. The KDSB acts as a Service System Manager to deliver social services. The Municipalities and Unincorporated Territories within the District of Kenora and the Province of Ontario pay for these services.

The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) wants to meet individuals, families and communities where they are. We know that a no-wrong-door approach to service provision works the best.

Message from the Chief Administrative Officer

Photo of KDSB CAO Henry WallAs Chief Administrative Officer of the Kenora District Services Board (KDSB), I believe that with strong leadership and forward-thinking and engaged employees; we will provide quality services to individuals, families and communities that we serve within the District of Kenora that are accessible and innovative. By doing so, this will not only improve lives but ensure that individuals and families can prosper, be healthier and reach their full potential.

In the District’s nine Municipalities and four Unincorporated Territories, we face constant change. Individuals, families and communities that the KDSB serves are diverse and have complex needs and challenges. These needs and challenges often call for comprehensive, integrated solutions.

One thing that does not change is the KDSB’s commitment to our communities and families: whether it is securing child care, assistance for fundamental needs, access to emergency medical services or providing a roof over your families head, we are here to help ensure that you can thrive. If we can’t directly help, we’ll refer you to a support that can.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments to share concerning the delivery of services by the KDSB.
