  • Community Housing

    The KDSB offers housing programs and services to residents of the Kenora District. If you or someone you know would like affordable housing information, KDSB can help.

  • Early Years Programming

    The KDSB is the Service System Manager for all Early Learning and Care Programs throughout the Kenora District. Services include: Licensed Child Care Programs and EarlyON Child and Family Centres.

  • Financial Support Services

    The KDSB offers support to people who are in financial need.

  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

    Northwest Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is the Paramedic/Land Ambulance services division of the KDSB.

Child Care Expansion in the Municipality of Red Lake – KDSB and Red Lake Indian Friendship Centre to develop additional spaces

Indigenous-led child care is expanding in Red Lake. The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) and the Red Lake Indian Friendship Centre (RLIFC) have agreed to create 24 new preschool spaces at RLIFC’s site 2 location as part of a plan to add 1,101 new child care spaces in the District through the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system.

Territory Without Municipal Organization Elections 2026

The Kenora District Services Board is seeking nominations for representation of the Territory without Municipal Organization to sit on their Board of Directors.

The nomination period ends on August 21, 2026, and election day is October 26, 2026.

Licensed Early Learning and Care Programs Waitlist

The Kenora District Services Board Licensed Early Learning and Care Programs has opened its electronic Wait List Intake Form for child care spaces at KDSB operated Early Learning Centre’s in communities across the Kenora District.

Education Cost Recovery Program for Primary Care Paramedics

Are you a Paramedic School Graduate within the past 2 years? The Kenora District Services Board’s (KDSB) Northwest EMS is offering an education cost recovery program for new Northwest EMS recruits.

The education cost recovery program offers up to $4,000 back per year for two years to assist in the repayment of tuition, fees, books, and supplies.
