You can get help with your resume and job searching skills through the Ontario Works offices. Job Finding Clubs are offered throughout the year to get you started.

If you are looking for a job, we can help you:

  • Learn how to effectively use the Internet and other tools
  • Get tips on how to complete application forms
  • Create an up-to-date resume and cover letter
  • Secure referrals to job counselling or training
  • Find out who’s hiring
  • Prepare for a job interview
  • Find employment opportunities based on your skills, experience and education

Our Resource rooms have supports to help you, including:

  • Computers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers and newspapers
  • Job boards with up-to-date job posting
  • Staff to help you with your job search and other supports you need

Self-Employment

  • Help making a business plan
  • Provide advice on financial matters
  • Provide training on budgeting and record keeping
  • Provide guidance with the start-up of your business
  • Provide ongoing help with management advice
