Community Placements

You will have the opportunity to participate in community placements. Volunteer community placements provide many benefits to people searching for employment:.

Employment Placements

Ontario Works offices provide Employment Placement opportunities for job ready recipients. Employment Placements offer:

  • Pre Employment training
  • Screening, matching and hiring assistance
  • Assistance with Workplace Safety Insurance
  • Financial incentives to employers such as training allowance and/or wage subsidy
  • Follow up human resources to support people in job retention strategies

Life Skills Training

Ontario Works provides a full program of life skills courses and community referral programs. Some of these courses assist people with life style challenges while other courses are valuable additions to resumes.
