housing

Tenets are usually selected on a first come first serve principle. Some applicants with unique circumstances will secure special status for the wait list.

The wait list is lengthy and varies depending on the community. The wait can be as long as several years in some communities and in other communities there are immediate occupancy. An offer of housing is made only when there is a vacant unit. You are encouraged to apply for several locations to increase your opportunity to receive an offer for housing.

The KDSB complies with the Ontario Human Rights Code and does not discriminate against applicants because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, handicap or disability, age, family status, marital status, or economic disadvantages.
